Marie Bastide graduated in architecture from the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Versailles in 2014. She learnt to master the rules of architecture, the principles of proportions, but it is in Morocco, in Marrakech where she settled soon after, that she found the place to apply them.
The style that inspires the style of our studio could be qualified as “Minimal Berbere”. We want there to be a fertile mix between the minimalist and rough approach of Bauhaus and of de Mies Van der Rohe that Marie particularly appreciates, and the vernacular moroccan architecture, the earth, the bejmat tiles, the des, the materials and natural colours of the Berbere world. This is how the moroccan architectural spirit fully expresses itself today.
